Mansour Mohammed Al-Ahbabi from Abu Dhabi secured the first spot in the 'Golden Square' after excelling in the first round of the second stage of the 25th Fazza Yola Championship and the 21st season of the Maidan program. Organized by the Fazza Championships Management at the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center, this marks the start of the second round, where eight yolaists have previously advanced in their quest for the grand prize and the Fazza Gold Cup — the dream of youth in one of the largest and most diverse traditional competitions. Al-Ahbabi's victory over his competitor, Ahmed Ali Al-Habsi from the Ras Al Khaimah emirate, was achieved in a fiercely contested round presented by Rashid Habib Al-Khakani, Director of the Fazza Championships Management. The event was broadcast live on Sama Dubai TV, on Al Oula radio, and on the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center's YouTube channel. The first round of the second stage opened with a Yola performance to the rhythm of the song 'Salt of the Emirates,' written by the CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center, Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, and performed by artist Mihad Hamad, with music by composer Fayez Saeed. The round was judged by Khalifa bin Sabayeen. In this round, Al-Ahbabi managed to gain the upper hand over his competitor by scoring 25 points. In the 'Shadda' assembly challenge, only Al-Ahbabi managed to score points. In the swimming challenge, held at the Hamdan Sports Complex, Al-Ahbabi also scored 15 points after winning the race. In the nerve-wracking archery challenge, always captivating the audience in the Maidan stands, the target distance was increased to 15 meters, and the running distance to 10 meters with a magazine assembly. Al-Habsi quickly completed the target shooting to score 15 points, renewing his hopes in the competition. In the poetry counting challenge, judged by poet Atiq Salem Al-Kaabi, the 15 points went to Al-Ahbabi. In the camel race, extended to 1000 meters and held at Al-Marrum racetrack in cooperation with the Dubai Camel Racing Club at the same venue, Al-Ahbabi also excelled to score 20 points, securing his qualification to the championship's 'Golden Square' and becoming the first finalist.
